Will there be a special event fee?

Yes. $2,300 until January 20, 2025, then $2,600 from January 21, 2025 until The Big Game.

What does this fee include?

Parking fees, overnight fees, security or landing fees, ground support services, etc. Special event fees begin at midnight Thursday, February 6 through Monday, February 10.

What is NOT included in this fee?

Fuel, catering,* ground transportation,* lodging,* and credit card fees. Standard rates are currently expected to resume sometime Monday, February 10, time TBD.
*These items are to be arranged by the customer.

Are the slot fee(s) refundable?

Slot fee(s) are not refundable. As the FBO owner/operator, APS is already in the process of procuring additional ground support equipment to ensure exceptional customer service.

How do I make a slot reservation?

(1) Visit our website to submit a preliminary reservation with requested information: APS Reservations | Port of South Louisiana

(2) Airport staff will contact you to confirm reservation(s) including payment. We expect confirmations to begin sometime this month (December 2024). Customers will be contacted in the order the reservations were received through the preliminary reservation system

(3) Once confirmed, you will receive a “What to Expect” document to ensure your arrival and experience here at APS is exceptional

NOTE: You must submit a preliminary reservation – there is NO cost to submit. Payment is only required when reservation(s) are confirmed

You should receive a confirmation email for all preliminary reservations submitted online

Please report any issues with the system; we can manually intake your information should you experience any issues

How many slots are allocated and what are the intervals?

APS has been allocated 120 slots arrival slots and 120 departure slots beginning Thursday, February 6, 2025 through Monday February 10, 2025, which equates to one per hour. Arrival slots are configured for every hour on the half-hour (XX:30 min mark) and departure slots every hour on the first quarter-hour (XX:15 min mark).

What if my reservation details change?

No change fees are expected for fair and reasonable changes given there is availability and no change in serviceability while on the ground

We understand tail numbers and other details may change; communication is key

Confirmation from the Airport is needed on any changes requested

How do I pay for the reservation?

We prefer credit card payment, but we are open to discussing other mutually agreed options. We want to ensure your experience on the grounds is customer- and aircraft-focused.

Will there be overnight or extended parking available?

Yes, but space is limited. No additional fees will be charged outside of the slot fee for parking from Thursday, February 6 to Monday, February 10.

Due to limited parking space, overnight or extended parking will be confirmed at the time we confirm such reservations. Include all similar and pertinent information in the preliminary reservation.

We are finalizing parking and ground operation diagrams to be included in “What to Expect” information.

Do you have Jet A+ (prist)?

Yes, we do have prist, but it is not pre-mixed and can only be applied over the wing. Customers should confirm with APS that prist will be needed.

Are there any airport limitations that I need to be aware of?

Airport pavement and design criteria is limited to FAA Design Group I and Design Group II (B-II) aircraft.

WEIGHT CAPACITY
Weight capacity is limited to the following:
– 30,000 lbs for single-wheel main gear aircraft
– 60,000 lbs for dual-tandem wheel main gear aircraft

LIGHTING
Primary parallel Taxiway A is unlighted. Intersections to the runway (A1 through A8), however, are lighted.

RAMP/PARKING
Ramp and parking space is limited on a first-come, first-served basis. Parking brakes should remain off while on the ground.

NOTIFICATIONS
NOTAMs, including PPRs, will be issued. We expect the FAA to issue a similar Safety Plan very soon as they did in previous Superbowl events. Check NOTAMs for the latest field conditions and serviceability.

FUEL
Self-Serve Fuel may be limited. Full service will be available.

GROUND SUPPORT
Services such as GPU may be limited to startup for departure. More information to follow.

OTHER ACCOMMODATIONS
Customers shall make respective ground transportation, catering and/or lodging arrangements for crew and passengers.
